Festival Partnerships

Offering the audience the chance to lay their eyes on a cinematic horizon as wide and diverse as possible has always been one of the main goals set by Magma – mostra di cinema breve. By encouraging a relation with remote worlds and with countries less represented within the major distribution chains, by building a bridge for the direct exchange and sharing of experiences and works, Magma aims at effectively contributing to the distribution and visibility of new cultural spaces and new cultural products beyond its national boundaries.
The festivals and the cultural centers that collaborated with the Association are part of a network which represents a privileged channel through which spread news about new audiovisual productions, festivals and events. Once started, the collaboration never ends with the current edition. They are indeed frequent cross-promotion operations and exchanges of contacts relating to films and directors, widening the international scope of the festival.
The interesting and successful experience of the partnerships established over the past few years – the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) (Czech Rep.); the Spanish Short Film Agency (ACE); the Moroccan Cinema Centre; the lstanbul Short Film Festival (Turkey); El ojo cojo (Spain); BuSho Short Film Festival (Hungary); the Tangier Mediterranean Short Film Festival(Morocco); the Bochum Internazionales Videofestival (Germany); the Italian Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia; the Comma Film Project and Leeds International Film Festival (UK); Off Plus Camera (Poland); Glasgow Short Film Festival (Scotland); Jameson Cinefest International Film Festival Miskolc (Hungary); Zagreb Film Festival (Croatia), Tirana International Film Festival (Albania); Daazo-Friss Hús Budapest (Hungary), Fest Anča International Animation Festival (Slovakia), In the Palace International Short Film Festival (Bulgaria), Krakti na brzinu (Croatia) and the famous Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival (UK) – has enabled our audience to deal with works representative of the best European short films.
