Giro Giro Corto – mostra di cinema piccolo originates from the established experience of Magma – mostra di cinema breve. The cultural association Scarti, involved for years in the promotion of the national and international short films, has now decided to devote part of its own activity to cinema for teenagers.
Giro Giro Corto is a short film festival aimed at children and teenagers: the international production of short films dedicated to a young audience, together with films produced in labs, schools or academies of film studies.
The program consists of a competitive section of 8 national short films, an out of competition international selection of 9 works and a two-day special showing of short films created as audiovisual education projects of the province of Catania. The audience itself will be voting for the best film of the festival.
