Born in Palermo in 1981, after her drama training at the Teatès Theatre School, she wrote, directed and interpreted various works, among which Che male vi fo and Bestino. The winner of many competitions, in 1998 she also earned the first prize of the national competition INDA (National Institute for Ancient Drama) and in 2008 she received the Maurizio Schiaretti Trophy, a tribute awarded to up-and-coming Italian actors.
She started her cinema career in 2006 with Nuovomondo by Emanuele Crialese (Venice Revelation Special Silver Lion winner) and in 2008 the film director Carlo Virzì cast her in the leading actress role of the young temporary employee in his Tutta la vita davanti. Next Christmas she will be on the Italian cinema screens performing in one of the episodes of the new film from the comedy trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, titled Il cosmo sul comò.
