Magma – mostra di Cinema Breve
With more than 8.600 submissions from 84 countries and a total attendance of about 14.500 festival goers over 19 consecutive editions, Magma is one of the main short film festivals in Italy.
The Jury
A judging panel made up of cinema experts gives the Lorenzo Vecchio Award and special mentions to the films standing out for their qualities.
Lorenzo Vecchio Award
Named after the creator of Magma, who died at the age of 23, the Festival Grand Prix is awarded by the Jury to the best short film of the festival.
Festival Partner
A contribution to the distribution and visibility of new cultural products beyond national boundaries: a network of contacts for the direct exchange and sharing of experiences and remarkable works across Europe.
Insula – Impressioni di Sicilia
A selection of short films set in Sicily or directed by Sicilian filmmakers, telling about an island crossed by a number of contradictions.
